Privacy

What we collect, and what we do with it

Short version: we collect what you type into the enquiry form, we use it to reply to you about your trip, and we do not sell it to anyone.

MY Travel is a travel business based in Israel, run by Madison and Yoav, and it is MY Travel that decides how the information you send through this site is used. If you want to ask anything about this page, or about what we hold on you, write to info@mytravel-il.com and one of us will answer it personally.

What we collect

Only what you give us. On the enquiry form that is:

  • Your name — so we know who we are writing back to
  • Your email address — required, because it is how we reply
  • Your phone number — optional, only if you would rather we call
  • The occasion — one of: Bar / Bat Mitzvah, Family reunion or multi-generational trip, Returning to Israel, Community or group trip, Holy Land trip, Something else
  • Roughly when you want to travel — one of: Within the next 6 months, 6–12 months out, More than a year out, Just gathering information
  • Anything else you choose to write in the free-text box

Please do not send us passport numbers, payment details, or health information through this form. We do not need them at the enquiry stage and the form is not built to carry them.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry and plan a trip with you. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell, rent, or trade your details, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you asked a question.

Who else touches it

Two services sit between you and us, and both act on our instructions:

  • Netlify hosts this website and receives the form submission. Your message is stored in our account there.
  • Cloudflare Email Routing and Google (Gmail) deliver and hold the email we receive and the replies we send.

Both are outside Israel, so your details are transferred and stored internationally. Nobody else receives them unless a trip you book makes it necessary — for example passing a rooming name to a hotel — and we will tell you before that happens.

Cookies and tracking

This site currently sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

If you reached us through a link on our business card or an email signature, that link carries a plain campaign tag in the address so we can tell which one worked. It identifies the card or the signature, not you.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that turn into a trip are kept for as long as we need them for that trip and for the records we are legally required to hold afterwards. Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted once the conversation is clearly over.

Your choices

Email us and we will act on any of these: tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a portable form. No special format required — a plain email is enough, and we do not charge for it.

Depending on where you live you may also have a statutory right to make these requests and to complain to a regulator. We will honour the request either way rather than argue about which law applies.

Children

This site is aimed at adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect details from children. Families often travel with children, and where we hold a child's name for a booking it comes from the adult organising the trip, not from the child.
