About
Two people, one very specific idea about how a trip to Israel should feel
MY Travel is Madison and Yoav — the M and the Y. The name is their initials, and it also just reads as 'my travel', which is the whole point.
Madison
Philadelphia-born, based in Tel Aviv. Six years of running groups here — over a thousand of them, most between 15 and 40 people. She owns the product, the relationships on the ground, and the community side of the business.
Two of those groups stay with her.
The first was her first — forty people who sat through quarantine just to get here, arriving straight out of the pandemic when almost nobody was travelling. The second was last August: more than 150 people, flying in from all over the world at different times and through different airports, coming to volunteer. Running one is a lesson in looking after people who have already been through something to reach you. Running the other is a lesson in making a dozen separate arrivals feel like one group with one purpose.
Yoav
Tel Aviv-based digital marketing manager with a paid-media background. He owns the funnel, the site, the tracking, and how people find us in the first place.
His background is paid media rather than travel, which turns out to be a useful thing to have in a small company: the questions people type into a search bar before they ever contact anyone tell you a great deal about what they are actually worried about. Much of what is written on this site started as one of those questions.
Why MY Travel exists
What was missing from the trips she watched other people run was simply someone being there. So she is. She meets groups at the airport, and she is with them through the trip — not to supervise, but because you learn what a trip is actually doing for people by standing next to them while it happens.
The other thing is what goes into the days. A lot of the people who come to us have been to Israel before. They do not need the standard list again. Every itinerary she builds has things in it that most visitors never find — not the tourist version of a place, the actual one.
The logo
The wordmark is a classic serif: MY in ink navy with the Y in terracotta-gold — two founders, two colours, without spelling it out. A thin gold arc sits above it like a horizon line, and a small Star of David sits below between two rules. Warm cream behind all of it.
How we work
MY Travel is an Israeli inbound tour operator: a business based in Israel, bringing travellers to Israel. We contract the hotels, the transport and the guides directly rather than handing a trip to a local operator, which is why the itineraries can be built from scratch rather than assembled from someone else's catalogue. Every guide is licensed by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.
Operating directly also means the responsibility sits with us rather than with a company whose name you would never see. Our position on the suppliers we use — the coach company, the guides, the activity operators — is that they carry their own insurance and that we ask to see it rather than assume it. Guiding in Israel is a licensed profession, so every guide you travel with holds a Ministry of Tourism licence; that is the law here, not a standard we set ourselves.
What we are not is your insurer. Travel insurance for you and the people you are travelling with is something you arrange yourself, and we would push you to do it.
